Six hospitals receive medical supplies through crowdfunding initiative

As part of its efforts to help fight Covid-19, Penang Crisis Relief Squad of MCA (CRSM) has provided equipment and other items to government hospitals. To help the six Covid-19 government hospitals in Penang, CRSM gave each RM4,000,000 in medical supplies and disinfection.

The collaborative effort of Penang CRSM and MCA Youth saw a campaign launched to collect medical supplies.

Penang CRSM Chief Edmond Mah and other MCA state officials presented aid to Penang Hospital, Balik Pulau Hospital, Seberang Jaya Hospital, Bukit Mertajam Hospital, Kepala Batas Hospital and Sungai Bakap Hospital.

Mah said each hospital received three boxes of face masks, one box of personal protective equipment, 10 boxes of chocolates, two nano disinfectant spray guns, three hand washing containers (20 liters each), four disinfectant containers. 20 l each and five 5 l disinfectant containers.

“Our CRSM headquarters are in contact with hospitals that treat Covid-19 patients across Malaysia.

“We collected medical supplies through the GoCare crowdfunding initiative,” he said.

Mah said families facing financial difficulties can contact CRSM through their Facebook account and the team will respond with supplies.

“We will continue to fundraise under CRSM and GoCare in every state,” he added.

GoCare Donation Crowdfunding is a CRSM initiative to help disadvantaged people.
